Baumann Automation is among this year's winners of the BAYERNS BEST 50 award.

With this accolade, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy recognizes the top 50 fastest-growing medium-sized enterprises in the state. On October 4, 2021, CEO Karl Ebnet attended the Imperial Hall of the Munich Palace to receive the award in person from Bavaria's Economic State Secretary Roland Weigert.

Organizations are assessed on the basis of criteria such as innovative spirit, entrepreneurial creativity and future-proof business models. In recent years, Baumann Automation has been able to increase both its headcount and its revenue above the average rate. The company was founded in 1984 by Dr. Georg Baumann as an engineering consultancy and started out as a regional service provider for construction work and custom-built machinery. Today, it employs over 800 people worldwide and is engaged in future-oriented sectors such as autonomous driving, e-mobility, digitalization and Industry 4.0. International service support points for China, Romania, Taiwan, the Philippines, as well as the USA and Mexico, ensure customer proximity across the globe.

"We are thrilled to receive this award – it is testimony to our unshakable and sustainable corporate policy. Baumann's dedicated team of employees and our instinct for new trends and developments in industrial manufacturing have contributed significantly to this success", explains Dr. Georg Baumann.

"Sustainable actions and social responsibility are key to Baumann Automation's achievements. Our customers appreciate our high product quality, as well as the constructive and trusting collaborations between us. This is also the reason why we maintain long-term partnerships with our customers and pursue a rigorous policy of making the customer the focus of our attention", says Karl Ebnet, CEO of Baumann Automation.

Even during the coronavirus pandemic, Baumann Automation added another 40 employees to its headcount is constantly looking to strengthen its team.

As a family-owned company, Baumann Automation advocates stability, social interaction and sustainable growth. Most especially, the focus is on the employees. The relationship with the local college is nurtured with students on dual courses, together with research projects and masters' theses.

Innovation encouraged by team spirit

At Baumann Automation, innovation also springs from other sources. The modern architecture of the company's halls and offices, works of art and regular exhibitions are all designed to encourage spontaneity and motivation. The employee's various sports commitments, to the football and ice hockey team for example, also go a long way to strengthening cohesion within the workforce. All of these initiatives help create freedom for employees to realize their own ideas in a constructive and creative atmosphere, the emphasis being on both team spirit and individual skills.

With an annual revenue of over 100 million euros and office and production space covering over 30,000 square meters at its headquarters in Amberg, Baumann Automation is set to face the future. The Bayerns Best 50 award is testimony to the company's sustainable and successful focus.
