Baumann celebrates: “Back to the 80s”

On Friday, July 19, we celebrated our 40th anniversary with an unforgettable “Back to the 80s” company party. With almost 1,800 guests, consisting of our employees and their families, the party was a complete success in the best summer weather and an absolute highlight of the year!

The motto “Back to the 80s” took guests on a colorful journey through time, accompanied by culinary delights from Genussreich Weber. The highlights included various types of fresh ravioli in original 80s-style tins, salmon fillet in panko crumbs reminiscent of the fish sticks of yesteryear and “Toast Hawaii” on a ciabatta bun, to name just a few. To top it all off, there was a delicious ice cream cake à la “Dreamboat” with vanilla, chocolate and strawberry as well as a vegan version with raspberry and coconut. Delicious fruit cups were also available to take away.

The tempting aroma of freshly roasted almonds, popcorn and other treats from Schmausser confectionery permeated the air and delighted the guests. For younger visitors, there were numerous activities such as face painting, a painting table, a button machine and two children's cinemas. The more adventurous could let off steam on a giant bouncy castle, with basketball, cup throwing, a touch wall and an exciting bullriding simulator. There were also fascinating virtual reality experiences.

A special highlight of the party was our specially set up photo box. Decorated with glittering elements and in a colorful 80s design, it offered all guests the opportunity to take unusual and fun photos. The photo box proved to be a particular crowd-puller, attracting guests throughout the evening and creating lasting memories.

The entertaining part of the evening was introduced by Oskar Baumann and Karl Ebnet at 19:00. The live band “The Funky Blues Rabbits” created a fantastic atmosphere with their songs from the past decades and a unique show. From 23:30, DJ Maca from Amberg played popular songs from the 80s and 90s and the dance floor was well filled until the early hours of the morning.

There were plenty of refreshments for this warm summer's day - whether it was a chilled water, a spritzer, a cola or beer - FC Freihung provided refreshments. The “LACOCKTAIL” cocktail bar offered a large selection of delicious cocktails. There was certainly something for everyone.

The 40th anniversary celebration was a meeting place for all generations: Employees, their children and young people alike enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the numerous activities. The colorful 80s decorations and the fascinating, illuminated aerial elements up to 5 meters high underlined the mood perfectly.
